Thomas Grilk testified that lengthening the Boston Marathon course moved its start to Hopkinton, Massachusetts. Jeffrey Bauman testified that he believed Erin Hurley and her running team traveled there by bus on April 15, 2013. During jury selection, prospective jurors were questioned about whether their connections to the town and the Marathon could affect their impartiality.
