About

Adrianna Haslet-Davis testified for the prosecution on Day 50 about the explosions near the Forum restaurant and the injuries she and her husband, Adam, suffered. She described being knocked down, crawling through broken glass using her forearms, and being dragged inside the restaurant. Adam applied her first tourniquet, and a doctor checked the tourniquets before the couple was evacuated separately to Boston Medical Center.

Haslet-Davis recalled fearing that they would die and telling her parents at the hospital that she believed Adam was dead. That statement described her fear at the time, not his actual fate. She testified that her left leg was amputated below the knee and that she used a prosthesis. She also described Adam's continuing ear, leg, and foot problems, further surgery, and admission to a mental facility at the VA Hospital.

During Nadine Pellegrini's direct examination, Haslet-Davis acknowledged uncertainty about elapsed time and some details of the aftermath. Photographs were used to illustrate the scene and the couple's positions. Exhibit 21-03, already in evidence, was displayed, and Exhibit 21-18 was admitted and displayed over a renewed defense objection. The defense asked no questions.
