About

William J. O'Keefe, Jr. authenticated Bank of America records and surveillance from the ATM at 39 Main Street in Watertown on Day 32. The prosecution witness, a bank corporate-security vice president assigned to Boston, connected Dun Meng's debit card, Exhibit 755, with the transaction records during Nadine Pellegrini's direct examination.

O'Keefe interpreted the records as showing access at 23:18 on April 18, 2013, an initial rejected PIN, a successful $800 withdrawal, and another $800 request rejected for exceeding the withdrawal limit. He clarified that the card could open the vestibule without a PIN, but a correct PIN was required to withdraw money. He estimated that the individual remained inside for about three minutes and said the withdrawal was dispensed in $20 bills.

The court admitted records Exhibits 768 and 769 and surveillance video Exhibit 756 without objection, and the video was played for the jury. O'Keefe distinguished his ability to retrieve video remotely from his reliance on others to supply transaction records; he also could not recall the requested video time window without documents. The defense declined to question him, and the court excused him.
